The Bank of Russia’s business climate indicator in July was -3.6 points after 0.9 points the previous month. Companies downgraded their assessments of the current situation, but their expectations for demand and production output for the next 3 months remain positive.
Investment activity, according to company estimates, moderately increased in the second quarter of 2026 after a decline in the previous quarter. Capacity utilization in the second quarter remained higher than during the low inflation period of 2017–2019.
Business price expectations rose in July after declining over the previous 5 months. Enterprises improved their assessments of lending conditions compared to June.
