The financing of infrastructure development for a residential quarter in the capital of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) has begun using the infrastructure bonds mechanism. The total loan amount will be 5.8 billion rubles. The corresponding decision was approved by the presidium of the Government Commission for Regional Development under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.

“On the President’s instructions, systematic work continues on the comprehensive development of the Far East. Currently, DOM.RF has begun financing a project to develop the infrastructure of a residential quarter being built on the site of the river port in the center of Yakutsk. Housing conditions will be improved for 7,300 families. In total, 5.8 billion rubles will be allocated to create a comfortable living environment through infrastructure bonds. This is one of the effective tools that allows for the creation of high-quality infrastructure and accelerates housing construction in the regions,” said Marat Khusnullin.

The allocated funds will be directed towards the creation of electricity, water supply, sewage, gas supply, and heating networks, the construction of sewage and stormwater treatment facilities, and stormwater drainage. In addition, a street and road network will be established, and the embankment and the square near the monument to the river port workers will be landscaped.

“The residential quarter ‘Lenskiye Vysoty’ is a project to transform the river port into a residential quarter with its own infrastructure and a pedestrian embankment in Yakutsk. This includes more than 363 thousand square meters of housing and social facilities planned to be completed by 2035. In order for the former industrial zone to truly become a comfortable living space, large-scale investments are necessary. The DOM.RF Group supports the project at all stages of implementation – investments in the creation of networks are secured through the infrastructure bond mechanism, and housing construction is carried out with the involvement of project financing from DOM.RF Bank,” noted Alexander Aksakov, Managing Director of DOM.RF.

As part of the comprehensive territorial development project, the construction of two modern schools, four kindergartens, and the landscaping of the Lena River embankment are also planned.
