Dushanbe, July 13 /Xinhua/ — As of June 1, 2026, the average monthly salary of employees across all sectors of the economy in Tajikistan reached 3194.45 somoni (about 345 US dollars), increasing by 19.8 percent, or by 528.5 somoni (57 dollars), year on year. This was reported on Monday at a press conference by the Minister of Labor, Migration and Employment of the country’s population, Solekha Kholmakhmadzoda.
According to her, the average monthly salary of workers in the education sector amounted to 3089.08 somoni /333.8 dollars/, of the government administration, defense, and social security bodies — 2779.49 somoni /300.4 dollars/, and the healthcare and social services sector — 2293.2 somoni /247.7 dollars/.
In regional terms, as of May 1, 2026, the highest level of average monthly salary was recorded in the Sughd region, where this figure amounted to 3071.87 somoni /331.9 dollars/. –0–
