Moscow, July 13 /Xinhua/ — Cars produced in Russia and China, as well as joint Chinese-Belarusian models, accounted for 95 percent of the Russian auto market in the first half of 2026. This was reported on Monday by Sergey Tselikov, director of the analytical agency “Avtostat,” on his Telegram channel.
“In the first 6 months of 2026, 608.6 thousand new passenger cars were sold on the Russian market. More than 90 percent of them were assembled in Russia /62.6 percent/ and China /28 percent/. Chinese-Belarusian products Belgee /4.7 percent/ can also be added here,” wrote S. Tselikov.

“If we look at the country of origin of the brands, then “Russia-Belarus-China” accounts for “only” 86 percent of the market. About 14 percent of sales were provided by global brands,” the analyst added.
