Beijing, July 13 /Xinhua/ — At the invitation of Premier of the State Council of the PRC Li Qiang, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand Anutin Charnvirakul will pay an official visit to China from July 16 to 20, an official spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Monday.
Anuthin Chanvirakul will participate in the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and the 2026 High-Level Conference on Global Governance of Artificial Intelligence, which will be held in Shanghai. President of the PRC Xi Jinping will meet with him, and Premier of the State Council of the PRC Li Qiang and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress /NPC SC/ Zhao Leji will separately hold talks and a meeting with him, said official spokesperson Lin Jian.
This will be Anutin Chanvirakul’s first official visit to China since assuming the post of Prime Minister of Thailand, which indicates the increased attention of both sides to the development of China-Thailand relations, noted Lin Jian.
China and Thailand are good neighbors, good friends, close relatives, and reliable partners, he said, recalling King Maha Vajiralongkorn’s state visit to China last year when the two countries celebrated the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations, the Chinese diplomat stated.
According to him, under the strategic leadership of the heads of the two states, the sides deepened political mutual trust and established fruitful cooperation in areas such as trade and investment, the digital economy, the aerospace industry, science, education, culture, and healthcare.
