The official website has published the architecture of the business program for the Eastern Economic Forum – 2026, which will take place from September 1 to 4 in Vladivostok at the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University. The main theme of the EEF this year is “Far East – development for the benefit of people.” The organizer is the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Government of Russia.

“The Eastern Economic Forum has become one of the effective tools for the socio-economic development of the Far East. In the early years of the forum, the main tasks were aimed at the economic rise of the macroregion: modernization of existing and construction of new enterprises, attracting technologies to the regions, and creating highly qualified jobs. Thanks to state support measures, nearly 7 trillion rubles of investments have come to the Far East and the Arctic, creating 197 thousand jobs. Economic incentives made it possible to create a foundation for further development and provided opportunities to pay even more attention to the social sphere. Additionally, special tools were introduced: preferential Far Eastern and Arctic mortgages, free land grants under the “Hectare” program. With funds from the unified Far Eastern presidential subsidy, the modernization of social infrastructure continues. By order of the President of Russia, large-scale renovation is being carried out in 25 Far Eastern and 15 key Arctic cities. All this is done so that the Far East and the Arctic become territories comfortable for work and life.””At the Eastern Economic Forum, we will discuss what has already been achieved and what needs to be worked on in the near future,” said Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Chairman of the Government, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Far Eastern Federal District, and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Eastern Economic Forum.
The business program is divided into five thematic tracks: “Living and Working in the Far East,” “Mechanisms for Attracting Private Investment,” “The Far East – a Hub for International Cooperation,” “Technologies of the Present and Future,” “Logistics and Infrastructure for Economic Growth.”
“The world is undergoing systemic transformation. This is due to the fact that Western economic and technological institutions have proven their inability to ensure global development. Today, their goal is to contain the development of countries that do not agree with the position of the collective West. Under these circumstances, a mandatory condition for progressive development is the formation of a sovereign economy. Its main components become the active implementation of technological innovations, the development of human capital, and international cooperation based on pragmatism and mutual respect. These directions are reflected in the program of the Eastern Economic Forum. It covers a wide range of topics—from issues of technological cooperation and diversification of international logistics routes to the development of artificial intelligence, the robotization of production, the introduction of unmanned technologies, and the growth of the platform economy. I emphasize that the measurable result of any systemic changes is the improvement of people’s quality of life. It is precisely this priority that has been reflected in the main theme of this year’s forum.””I am convinced that the dialogue at the EEF platform will allow us to develop systemic solutions that will ensure the sustainable socio-economic development of Russia,” emphasized Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of Russia and Executive Secretary of the EEF Organizing Committee.
The track “Living and Working in the Far East” will be dedicated to issues of staffing for the accelerated development of the macroregion and creating a comfortable living environment. In particular, it is planned to discuss the role of universities as technology drivers, issues of increasing the export potential of creative products, implementation of master plans for Far Eastern cities and housing policy, as well as socio-architectural practices aimed at improving living standards.
Discussions within the framework of the “Mechanisms for attracting private investment” direction will focus on topics such as improving the extractive industry and manufacturing, developing preferential regimes for the Far East and the Arctic, implementing investment projects, establishing the Eastern financial center in the macro-region, and optimizing reporting for businesses.
The section “Far East – a hub of international cooperation” will be dedicated to interaction with the Asia-Pacific countries and current cooperation directions. The focus will be on the new economy of international aviation, tourism as a soft power tool, and consumer protection issues.
The integration of artificial intelligence into various spheres of life, the robotization of production, the potential development of unmanned transport, and other issues will be discussed by the participants of the track «Technologies of the Present and Future». The discussions will focus on the platform economy, effective strategies for financing technological leadership projects, as well as the creation of data centers and the bioeconomy.
The direction “Logistics and Infrastructure for Economic Growth” will focus on the development of transport corridors, including the Northern Sea Route, the gasification of the Far East, and other topics.
The business program at the “Far East Street” venue will include an open plenary session on the projects of the “Muravyov-Amursky 2030” program, the business game “Vladivostok-2050: Designing the City of the Future,” as well as events dedicated to the contest “Far East – Land of Adventures” and tourism products created in the macroregion.
Also, within the framework of the EEF, there will be the Creative Industries Forum, the youth forum “Day of the Future”, the international forum “Day of the Falcon”, the SME Forum, the APEC International Conference on Cooperation in Higher Education, and the conference “Crossroads of Civilizations: the Role of Transport Integration in the History of the Asia-Pacific Region.” Business dialogues are planned with China, India, the UAE, Mongolia, Vietnam, and ASEAN.
