Bangkok, July 13 /Xinhua/ — 27 people died and more than 10 were injured on Sunday as a result of a fire in a pub in the Chatuchak district of Bangkok. This was reported by Thai media.
The fire broke out around 11:57 PM local time and was later extinguished. The injured were taken to hospitals for treatment.
Thai Prime Minister Anutin Chanwirakun arrived at the scene on Monday at around 1:44 and stated that most of the victims suffocated from smoke.
An investigation into the causes of the fire is underway. –0–
