SPbPU held events jointly with Slavic universities of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan in three areas: development of digital competencies of students and teachers, advanced training of managerial staff, regulatory support for licensing new educational programs, and expansion of the branch network.
RTSU: Management Personnel and Expansion of the Educational Portfolio
Specialists from two divisions of Polytech — the Center for the Development of Educational Programs of the Directorate of Basic Educational Programs and the Center for Corporate and Network Additional Professional Programs — organized systematic training for 30 heads of educational programs at RTSU. The professional development program “Modern Approaches to Educational Process Management” was designed for 92 academic hours. The training was conducted remotely, which allowed the leaders to master current methodologies and exchange experiences with colleagues from SPbPU without interrupting their ongoing work. The participants studied modern models of designing core educational programs, mechanisms for integrating student project activities, and algorithms for preparing and conducting state final assessments. The final stage involved preparing a presentation of the educational program considering all the studied materials, after which all 30 leaders received certificates of professional development.
Alongside the training, the Center for the Development of Educational Programs at SPbPU provided RTSE with comprehensive methodological support in preparing documents to obtain the Rosobrnadzor license for educational activities. This joint effort enabled the opening of new specialties and training areas. Among them are: secondary vocational education programs in “Web Development,” “Trade,” and “Tourism and Hospitality,” bachelor’s programs in “Information Security,” “State and Municipal Management,” “Business Informatics,” “Advertising and Public Relations,” and the specialist program “Economic Security.” Additionally, changes were made to the license: a new address of the secondary general education school in Dushanbe and an RTSE branch—the Russian-Tajik Secondary General Education School in the city of Kulyab—were added. As a result, RTSE received an updated license that significantly expanded the range of offered educational services and strengthened the university’s position as a multidisciplinary educational center in the region.
KRSU: Digitalization of education and development of online competencies
The SPbPU Center for Open Education continues systematic cooperation with KRSU, focusing on setting up processes for organizing distance learning, transferring advanced methods of working in the electronic information and educational environment, and providing KRSU students with access to quality online resources of Polytech. A total of 125 people were trained — 52 students and 73 teachers.
A massive open online course “Digital Industry Technologies” was held for students. It is an in-house development of COE, created jointly with the Advanced Engineering School “Digital Engineering,” and hosted on the national platform “Open Education.” The program introduces learners to modern digital technologies and practical cases of their application in industry, energy, transport, healthcare, construction, the financial sector, and science, forming basic ideas about the role of digital tools in future professional activities. Students studied the main trends of digital transformation, mastered specialized terminology (digital twins, industrial Internet of Things, big data, artificial intelligence), and learned to evaluate the effectiveness of digital solutions. Upon successful completion of the materials, 52 students received certificates of completion of the online course.
A professional development program titled “Tools and Services for Content Development and Organization of E-Learning” was held for teachers. It was specially designed to enhance teachers’ competencies in information and communication technologies and methodological readiness to work in blended and remote formats. Seventy-three teachers from different faculties participated in the training. They mastered the functionality of the distance learning system, learned how to design the structure of an online course, create multimedia content, organize feedback and performance monitoring, as well as adapt traditional teaching materials for the online format without loss of quality. The teachers completed practical cases developing fragments of their own future online courses, which allowed them to immediately apply the acquired skills in their teaching work. All 73 participants successfully completed the program and received professional development certificates from SPbPU. Such training opens up new opportunities for building a flexible and accessible educational process in a digital environment.
The joint work of SPbPU with Slavic universities has demonstrated the high effectiveness of integrating Russian educational standards, management practices, and digital solutions into the international educational environment. Both initiatives fit into SPbPU’s long-term strategy of exporting education and strengthening the positions of Russian universities in the post-Soviet space. Plans include continuing methodological support, launching new joint courses and double degree programs, as well as deepening academic exchange.
