Business project development, an investment game, and commemorative gifts: this is how the final day of the module “Course on Business and Entrepreneurship,” organized jointly with the State University of Management at the All-Russian Children’s Center “Ocean,” took place.
36 schoolchildren from 23 regions of Russia studied entrepreneurship theory during the program, met with industry specialists, attended master classes, and learned how to present themselves and their ideas.
On the final day of the course, the participants, divided into six teams, presented their developed business projects to an expert panel, which included representatives of the Ocean Center, as well as invited specialists from the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization “Entrepreneurship Support Center of Primorsky Krai” (“My Business” center) and the Ministry of Economic Development of Primorsky Krai.
The students also tried themselves as investors: after the presentations, together with experts, they distributed 10 million conditional rubles among the projects, evaluating their prospects and justification. This allowed them to look at business ideas from different angles and learn to justify their choice.
Experts noted the maturity of the approaches and the relevance of the topics: many participants were solving problems they had faced themselves. Andrey Shevchenko, Executive Director of the “My Business” center, emphasized that personal involvement is felt in every work. Yulia Kosolapova, Head of Educational Programs at the VDC “Ocean,” specially highlighted the thoroughness of the project development and confident presentations without cheat sheets. She was especially impressed by the project with AR glasses for excursions: the team conducted a comparison with analogues and convincingly proved the demand for their idea.
Following the final presentations, the winners were determined. All participants received individual and team certificates, and the teams were given souvenir products from the module’s partners.
A participant from the Samara region, Viktoria Petrova, admitted that she had not previously worked on entrepreneurial projects, but during the session she fully immersed herself in the topic and gained valuable experience.
The program concluded with a video address by Vladimir Stroev, the rector of the State University of Management.
“You are great for having passed a serious selection and gotten into our session. We are waiting for you at the State University of Management, where we will immerse you even more deeply in entrepreneurial activities. I am confident that the knowledge and friends gained here will stay with you for life,” said the rector of SUM.
The specialized module “Course on Business and Entrepreneurship” is implemented at the VDC “Ocean” as part of the “Trials in Professions” program with the participation of the State University of Management and supported by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
