The State University of Management was visited by and the City University of Macau (People’s Republic of China) signed a protocol of intent and agreed to develop a cooperation roadmap for the upcoming academic year.
The university delegation, led by Vice-Rector Ip Kwai Pan, included representatives of the Chinese university’s international department, deputy directors of institutes, and staff of the student office.
At the meeting, the State University of Management was represented by Vice-Rector Dmitry Bryukhanov, Director of the Institute of Personnel Management, Social and Business Communications Alexey Chudnovsky, and staff of the university’s scientific and international departments.
The parties discussed the possibilities of implementing student mobility programs, launching joint educational programs, as well as conducting research involving scientists from Russia and China.
Special attention was paid to the exchange of experience in tourism management and training personnel for international business.
“We see great interest in Russian educational practices from our Asian partners. I am confident that the unification of the scientific potential of the State University of Management and the City University of Macau will benefit both parties and allow our students to gain unique international experience,” noted Dmitry Bryukhanov.
Vice-Rector Ip Kuai Peng, in turn, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and emphasized the importance of intercultural dialogue: “Macau has historically been a bridge between East and West. It is extremely important for our university to develop connections with leading Russian management schools in order to train specialists capable of effectively working in the global economy. We are glad to begin this constructive dialogue.”
Following the meeting, a protocol of intent was signed and a preliminary agreement was reached on the development of a cooperation roadmap for the upcoming academic year. The next step will be the preparation of a cooperation agreement that will formalize the main areas of partnership.
In addition, the guests got acquainted with the infrastructure of the GUU campus, visited the sports complex and scientific laboratories, and interacted with foreign students of our university.
