Beijing, July 9 /Xinhua/ — In the first half of 2026, the volume of container shipments of export goods from Zhejiang Province by Yiwu-Europe freight trains within the framework of China-Europe international freight transport increased by 10.6 percent year-on-year, reaching a record level of 84,000 standard containers /TEU/, according to a statement published on the official website of the General Administration of Customs /GAC/ of China.

Thanks to a number of measures, such as the launching of special trains for delivering branded goods, special trains for market purchases, support for the construction of the China-Europe train consolidation center, and the customs implementation of an intelligent monitoring system, the volume of export cargo container transportation by Yuxinou freight trains from Zhejiang province has maintained double-digit growth for six consecutive months, demonstrating strong development momentum.

As the transformation and modernization of Zhejiang province’s manufacturing industry accelerate, the range of goods transported by Yixinou trains is also constantly being updated, said Ye Quran, Deputy General Manager of the Yixinou freight train operating company.

According to him, previously such trains mainly transported daily consumer goods, textile products, and clothing, but now the range of goods they carry is gradually expanding to include high value-added products, including photovoltaic modules, smart household appliances, spare parts for vehicles based on new energy sources, and others. Currently, China-Europe trains provide an efficient and stable logistics channel for exporting goods from Zhejiang Province to the countries participating in the “Belt and Road” initiative. -0-
