Beijing, July 9 /Xinhua/ — The new energy vehicle (NEV) sector in China demonstrated steady growth in the first half of 2026, with both production and sales volumes in this sector exceeding 7 million units during the period, according to the latest industry data released on Thursday.
The production volume of NEVs in China from January to June reached 7.438 million units, and sales volume was 7.446 million units, according to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
According to the data, fully electric vehicles accounted for 67 percent of total NEV sales during this period. -0-
