The show will take place in the format of an interactive family musical, where the main winter wizard, Ded Moroz, Snegurochka, and their team are at the center of the story. The story unfolds around the exciting journey of Snegurochka into the future. While Ded Moroz’s assistant team, led by Robot Maxik, tames snow whirlwinds and returns lost stars to the sky, the heroine will find herself in tomorrow and learn something absolutely incredible. As in real fairy tales, at the most crucial moment, something will go wrong — and that’s when all the most interesting things will begin.
Traditionally, the project “Cinema Christmas Tree at Mosfilm” will feature stars of national cinema and television — an actor, Honored Artist of Russia Stanislav Duzhnikov, well known to family audiences for the sitcom “Voroniny” and as a TV host Dmitry Khrustalev. The performers will take part in video episodes, which viewers will see on huge screens integrated into the stage design.
Preparations for the premiere are already in full swing: sets are being built, costumes sewn, orchestral music recorded, makeup tests conducted, and initial rehearsals taking place. The show itself will be filled with special effects: laser graphics, smoke effects, pneumatic fireworks, huge screens, and special attention to sound — the hall features the only individualized sound positioning system in Russia, meaning the sound adjusts to each seat and the audio picture will be equally clear for all spectators.
The celebration will take place simultaneously in two Mosfilm studios. In one, where the films “Spring” and “War and Peace” were shot, comfortable seating and the main musical space will be located; this studio traditionally hosts the Golden Eagle film awards ceremonies and the TV show “Blue Light”. In the neighboring studio, a Christmas film village will open — featuring an exhibition of rare props and costumes from domestic film fairy tales, Santa Claus’s mail, master classes, and a rich animation program.
In addition to the performance itself, filled with film quotes and interesting facts from film history, viewers will see the “Mosfilm” cinema awards exhibition, including Oscar statuettes, an exposition of antique movie cameras and rare weapons, original costumes of the Gaidai trio, a photo exhibition from the shoots of Mosfilm movies, installations based on famous films, and will also participate in a film quiz dedicated to the history of the Film Concern.
