The solemn opening of the interregional student production labor project “KAMAZ” took place in Naberezhnye Chelny. From October 5 to December 5, 300 students from 23 educational institutions will work in six divisions of PJSC “KAMAZ” – at the Automotive, Foundry, Press and Frame plants, the Bridge and Engine plants, as well as in the Technical Control Department.
Representatives of PJSC KAMAZ and Russian Student Teams participated in the ceremonial opening. During the event, travel vouchers were presented to the student teams — a symbol marking the beginning of the work season. The autumn stage of the project includes student teams from 14 regions of Russia: Arkhangelsk, Astrakhan, Belgorod, Leningrad, Omsk, Ryazan and Ulyanovsk regions, Altai and Krasnodar territories, the Republics of Tatarstan and Mordovia, the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, the Luhansk People’s Republic, and the city of Sevastopol.
The project is being implemented as part of two anniversaries – the 50th anniversary of the release of the first KAMAZ truck and the 400th anniversary of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny.
“Today, great attention is paid to the employment of student teams in industrial enterprises. Our experience in this field was recognized at the All-Russian competition of the best youth employment practices, which is held annually by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation. It is particularly valuable to us that KAMAZ is a leading employer of Russian student teams in the industrial sector. Over two and a half years of cooperation, five all-Russian labor projects have been implemented at the enterprise. And thanks to the formation of a zonal headquarters at the enterprise and year-round employment within KAMAZ student teams, more than 7,000 movement participants have already worked here. This year, we are launching the autumn phase of the project for the first time — it is a new format for the industrial direction, and we see that it opens additional opportunities for both students and the enterprise.”, – said Director of the Republican Center of Student Labor Detachments, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Russian Student Detachments Vasily Islaev.
The Interregional Autumn Student Labor Project “KAMAZ” is being implemented for the first time. The project’s slogan is “KAMAZ – your best industrial internship.” The main activity for participants will be working at the enterprises of PJSC “KAMAZ.” Students will work in the full production cycle of trucks as mechanical assembly fitters, operators of automatic and semi-automatic lines, machines and equipment, core makers, welders, transporters, molders, controllers of machine and assembly work, and cold stamping work.
In addition to work, students will participate in sports and creative events, educational activities, and volunteer campaigns. Master classes, career guidance meetings, and games will be held at the social shelter for children and adolescents “Asyltash.” Also, during the project period, excursions and lectures for schoolchildren and students will be organized as part of the all-Russian campaign “Week Without Turnstiles.”
Representatives of the Zonal Headquarters of Student Teams and enterprises of PJSC “KAMAZ” will immerse potential employees of the automotive giant in the professions, features of the plant, and opportunities within student teams. Next Friday, October 30, an intensive session will be held for representatives of educational institutions of secondary vocational education in the Republic of Tatarstan. The purpose of the intensive is to familiarize participants with the automotive giant and the employment opportunities available for students. The program includes tours of PJSC “KAMAZ” factories and a meeting with the company’s HR specialists and representatives of Russian student teams.
Upon completion of the project, the best student teams will be announced based on production performance, commissarial activities, and overall work evaluation. The names of the best commander, commissar, and project press secretary will be announced.
Russian student brigades are the largest labor movement of Russian youth. Hundreds of thousands of young people work annually in student brigades, gaining their first work experience, receiving decent wages, and making a significant contribution to the country’s development. Before the start of the summer work semester, participants in the movement can receive free training in an additional working profession. Since 2021, more than 170,000 people have taken advantage of this opportunity.
