Specialists Moscow urban economy complex have completed a major renovation of Volynskaya Street in the western part of the capital. The reason for carrying out comprehensive work was the wear of the old road surface, on which ruts had formed due to heavy traffic. During the repairs, the road services not only renewed an important transport artery of the Solntsevo district, but also improved the adjacent area, making it more modern, safe, and visually attractive.
Cable ducting and new lighting
To prevent the wires from spoiling the landscape of the area, they were moved underground. For this, specialists laid more than 1.7 kilometers of modern cable ducts, where all engineering communications and communication lines were placed. In addition, visibility at night has improved significantly — during the improvement works on Volynskaya Street, almost three dozen new energy-efficient lamps were installed.
Comfort for drivers and pedestrians
The main volume of road construction work was carried out on the carriageway and sidewalks. The builders laid over 12,300 square meters of wear-resistant asphalt on the road, as well as applied markings and installed road signs. The pedestrian paths were also transformed — the area of asphalted sidewalks amounted to almost 4,700 square meters, and space zoning was done using durable curb stones.
Large-scale greening of the territory
After the completion of road works on Volynskaya Street, the lawns were put in order. The total area of green coverage exceeded 9.1 thousand square meters, thanks to which the renovated street harmoniously blended into the surrounding urban landscape.
About 80 people and 30 pieces of equipment were involved in the work, including milling machines, asphalt pavers, rollers, dump trucks, and loaders.
