In special economic zone The Special Economic Zone (SEZ) “Technopolis Moscow” has started the first serial production in Russia of ventilators for newborns. One of them was donated free of charge to the National Medical Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Perinatology named after Academician V.I. Kulakov. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry. Maksim Liksutov.

“By the order of Sergey Sobyanin, the city is systematically supporting the localization of high-tech manufacturing and creating conditions for the production of critically important medical equipment. A resident of the capital’s SEZ developed a new line of ventilators over two years. As a result, unique equipment was created that helps care for newborns, including premature infants weighing from 500 grams. The device can be used in intensive care units for the rehabilitation of patients with extremely low body weight,” said Maksim Liksutov.

The production is carried out by the company “Khirana+.” The artificial cough function equipped in the “Khirolog SV Aura Profi neo” device simulates the natural physiological reflex and allows gentle clearing of the respiratory tracts of newborns. The use of this technology reduces the risk of respiratory complications, increases the effectiveness of therapy, and improves the chances of successful care for the babies.

Being a resident of the capital’s special economic zone helps develop the company and expand the range of complex resuscitation equipment. Tax benefits, established logistics, and modern engineering infrastructure allow for faster implementation of new medical developments, with the saved funds being directed towards the modernization of production lines.

This year, the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) “Technopolis Moscow” celebrates its 20th anniversary. Over this time, it has transformed from a launching pad for innovative projects into a key hub of domestic industry and a center of attraction for companies defining Russia’s technological sovereignty. Today, more than 250 productions are located on 10 SEZ sites with a total area of 430 hectares. They specialize in microelectronics, instrumentation, biomedicine, information technologies, and robotics. The development of the SEZ is managed by the capital’s Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.

Earlier, Sergey Sobyanin announced October a month of Moscow industry. The program includes more than 25 events for business representatives, students, young professionals, city residents, and tourists. Among them — Moscow Investment and Industrial Forum, career day, award ceremony for labor dynasties, as well as more than 20 excursions to modern high-tech industries and open educational lectures. In addition, for the first time, the capital will host International Forum of Special Economic Zones with the participation of partners from the BRICS countries, the Eurasian Economic Union, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
