More than 500 thousand young Muscovites took part in the first stage of the All-Russian School Olympiad (VsOSH). Sergey Sobyanin mentioned this on his channel on in the “Max” messenger.
“The competitions have already taken place in 24 out of 28 subjects. The students have written over one million papers. The most popular were Russian language, literature, English language, history, and social studies. Ahead are the All-Russian Olympiads in programming, information security, economics, and artificial intelligence. The school stage will end on October 25,” reported the Mayor of Moscow.

The Center for Pedagogical Excellence of the capital is preparing Moscow schoolchildren for the All-Russian Olympiad Department of Education and Science. Nearly 20 thousand children have already started training with the best coaches. They will also attend lectures and seminars, meet with scientists and experts, complete practical tasks, and conduct their own research. Enrollment in training groups is ongoing.
“In addition, at the beginning of October, capital schoolchildren participated in two prestigious competitions: the International Cities Mathematics Tournament and the M.V. Lomonosov Tournament. More than 25 thousand young Muscovites completed the tasks. In November, the qualifying stages of the Moscow Schoolchildren’s Olympiad will take place, and until the end of March, the competition ‘Museums. Parks. Estates’ is ongoing,” Sergey Sobyanin added.
Last academic year, the Moscow team won a record 1972 diplomas. That is 46 percent of all awards given.
