The award ceremony took place during a solemn event dedicated to the 77th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and the PRC. The ceremony was held at the Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn House of the Russian Abroad.
Representatives of China attended the solemn award ceremony: students, diplomatic staff, and guests of Russia. On their behalf and on behalf of the PRC, Zhang Wei, the Minister Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Russian Federation, spoke. He noted that the ceremony had become an important part of the celebration of the 77th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and China.

Our countries are connected by relations of comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction in the new era, which hold a priority and special strategic place in China’s foreign policy,” stated the Plenipotentiary Minister of the Embassy of the PRC in the Russian Federation.
“The practical relations between the two countries are constantly developing and encompassing new promising areas. The cross years of cooperation in education have begun. The number of people studying Chinese in Russia has exceeded 100 thousand, and the total number of Chinese students in Russia and Russian students in China is also approaching 100 thousand,” said Mr. Zhang Wei. He expressed gratitude to the Society of Russian-Chinese Friendship and the veterans for organizing the ceremony and promoting cultural exchange between Russia and China.

She spoke about the history of the emergence of Russian-Chinese diplomatic relations, which began with the victory of the Chinese people’s revolution on October 1, 1949, and the Soviet Union’s recognition of the new state – the People’s Republic of China.
“Russia must develop relations with the country that today is the world’s largest economy. China’s successes today are, essentially, our successes as well. We must make every effort to further develop our relations, as cooperation between our countries makes the world safer,” stated Galina Kulikova.
