On October 14, students from the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering took part in the tenth educational event “All-Russian Economic Dictation.” This year, about 250 students of the FEM tested their knowledge in the field of economics.
The event was held under the motto “Strong Economy – Prosperous Russia!” and was timed to coincide with the project’s anniversary. The All-Russian Economic Dictation is held annually in all regions of the Russian Federation by the Free Economic Society of Russia with the support of the Federation Council. Its main goal is to assess and improve the economic literacy of citizens and to promote the formation of the image of an economically literate person.
Students of SPbGASU have traditionally been among the most active participants in the event. For future economists and managers, the dictation is not only a test of knowledge but also an opportunity to assess their scientific potential and competitiveness in the labor market. The dictation tasks cover a wide range of topics: from basic concepts of financial literacy and the history of economic thought to current issues in macroeconomics, digital transformation, and strategic planning.
“Participation in such large-scale events helps students see how the theoretical knowledge gained in lectures is applied in real life,” noted the Deputy Dean for Research at the Faculty of Economics and Management Yuri Tsvetkov. “For us, it is important that nearly 250 people responded to the anniversary event. This indicates the high interest of our students in the country’s economic agenda.”
At the end of the dictation, each participant will receive an electronic certificate confirming their level of economic literacy. In addition, all students will be able to review the correct answers and methodological materials on the official website of the campaign to analyze the mistakes made.
