Consumer activity in August – September grew more slowly in the eastern regions of the country and declined in many regions of the European part. Overall, amid a slowdown in wage growth, consumers behaved more conservatively. Activity in domestic tourist destinations decreased. Online retail turnover declined.
Economic activity in August-September remained at the same level, but the situation varied by region and industry. In Volga-Vyatka, production of engineering products and building materials continued to grow. Siberian coal companies kept increasing exports by shifting logistics to Far East ports. At the same time, in the Urals, oil production and woodworking volumes declined, while in the South, individual housing construction volumes decreased.
