An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

According to the Bank of Russia’s assessment, the indicators of sustained inflation have mostly remained in the range of 5–6%. It is influenced more by demand and less by one-off factors.

The impact of the situation in the fuel market and the exchange rate on price dynamics persisted but became less pronounced.

The rise in prices for a wide range of non-food goods has slowed down. Clothing and footwear, as well as knitwear, have become more expensive less than usual for September. Price growth for haberdashery, furniture, and building materials has slowed. At the same time, electronics continued to become more expensive rapidly.

Food products were increasing in price at accelerated rates, but more slowly than in August. The growth of prices for services remained high.

The monetary policy conducted by the Bank of Russia is aimed at bringing the annual inflation rate back to the target level of 4%.
