At the Rostokino gallery, as part of the celebration of Unity Day, there will be a screening of the film “Spring on Zarechnaya Street”.

The film, made in 1956 by Felix Mironer and Marlen Khutsiev, became one of the most popular Soviet films and one of the symbols of the Thaw.

A graduate of the pedagogical institute, Tatyana Levchenko, arrives in a city with a large metallurgical plant. At the city education department, she receives an assignment to an evening school for working youth, where Alexander Savchenko, a steelworker and labor champion, is studying. The story of his complicated feelings towards the young teacher forms the basis of the plot. Sasha, the best steelworker at the plant, is not used to refusals, but after receiving one from Tatyana, he initially feigns indifference and later realizes that for the first time he is experiencing a true, deep feeling.
