A new overpass over the tracks of the Yaroslavsky railway direction will connect Menzhinsky and Dudinka streets. Sergey Sobyanin spoke about the progress of its construction on his channel at in the messenger “Max”.

“The construction of the facility will create a new transverse connection between Yaroslavl and Dmitrov highways and improve transport accessibility for three districts at once — Losinoostrovsky, Babushkinsky, and Yaroslavsky. They are currently separated by railway tracks,” Sergey Sobyanin wrote.

The span structure of the overpass will be located on five supports. One of them will be situated between the railway tracks. At the moment, three supports and the retaining walls of the overpass are already completed. Specialists have carried out the first launching of the span structure of the facility. The overall construction readiness of the object exceeds 20 percent.

The overpass is designed in the shape of a horseshoe. This form will allow the preservation of existing infrastructure and social facilities, including a cultural heritage site – the building of the clinic of JSC “RZD”.

The most advanced technologies and domestic materials are used in the construction of the facility. For example, metallostructures for the overpass construction are supplied by manufacturers from Belgorod.

A total of 4.3 kilometers of roads will be built and reconstructed as part of the project. In addition to the artificial structure, the construction of the Planned Passage No. 4337 is planned, which will run from the future overpass to Fedoskinskaya Street, as well as the reconstruction of Menzhinskogo Street and sections of Anadyrsky and Khibinsky passages. The work is expected to be completed in 2028.

“After the opening, we will launch a ground transport route over the overpass that will connect the Babushkinsky district with Yaroslavskoye Highway and the future station of the Sokolnicheskaya line,” added Sergey Sobyanin.
