The engine of PJSC “Tutaev Motor Plant”, a subsidiary of “KAMAZ” in the Yaroslavl region, is used in the production of the new BELAZ-75855 loading and transportation machine, specially designed for complex mining excavations.

The range of equipment for underground work has been supplemented by a new BELAZ-75855 loading and transport machine, specially designed for complex mining workings. The mine dump truck with a carrying capacity of 45 tons is equipped with a 8523.10-01 engine produced by the Tutaev Motor Plant.

The machine was designed for a specific request in close cooperation with Russian partners from the mining and metallurgical company Norilsk Nickel, who are interested in supplies of reliable underground machines independent of imports.

The BELAZ-75855 load-haul dump truck is equipped with a diesel four-stroke TMZ engine with cast iron cylinder heads and electronic control — a reliable and powerful unit developed taking into account the specific requirements for underground transport. The 17.2-litre displacement and engine power of 405 kW (550 hp), combined with a spacious lifting body of 24.2 cubic meters, provide the dump truck with high productivity.

The machine is currently undergoing testing at the factory test site. By agreement with the customer, the factory testing program mimics the real operational cycle of the equipment in Norilsk Nickel’s mines. After completing the full scope of factory tests, the new underground dump truck will begin operation in Norilsk.
