Specialists urban services complex Moscow has completely finished the improvement of Passage No. 5, located between Sorge and Kuusinena streets in the northern part of the capital. The road surface in this residential area was renewed: the work was necessary due to ruts that could negatively affect road traffic safety. Additionally, the lighting system was modernized here and the area was landscaped.
Specialists laid more than 2,700 square meters of asphalt concrete pavement. In addition, to delimit zones and reinforce the road surface, 818 linear meters of curbstone were installed.
To make the street safer for pedestrians and drivers during dark hours, the builders installed a modern street lighting pole and an additional contrast light pole. Thanks to this, the road area is spot-lit, making people more visible at the crossing, reducing the likelihood of accidents. In addition, the area adjacent to the roadway was landscaped: a new dense lawn covering more than 1,400 square meters was planted. The final stage was painting the road markings on the fresh asphalt.
Work on the intra-quarter passage was carried out within strictly set deadlines. This allowed for the completion of the extensive repair by autumn and minimized inconvenience for local residents. Three skilled teams totaling 21 people worked daily at the site. Heavy construction equipment was used during the repair, including a multifunctional excavator-loader and high-capacity trucks.
