Specialists urban infrastructure complex more than two thousand engineering structures are being flushed as part of the preparations for winter. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Petr Biryukov.
“Before the onset of stable sub-zero air temperatures, we will carry out extensive work to flush engineering structures. In total, we will put in order more than two thousand objects — bridges, tunnels, underground and aboveground pedestrian crossings, embankments, piers, fountains, and monuments. We will involve the necessary number of machinery units and municipal service teams in the activities,” noted Petr Biryukov.
The craftsmen will clean and wash the structural elements, concrete, metal, and glass surfaces, railings, and staircases. If necessary, they will carry out current repairs of the structures. The work will be carried out with the use of aerial platforms, watering and washing machines, and tunnel washing machines.
Road services will wash signs, information boards, indicators, safety buffers, noise barriers, barrier and pedestrian fences.
Monuments and fountains will be cleaned manually by specialists using a special technology with the application of neutral detergents that do not damage surfaces. Alkaline solutions will be used for washing tunnels and bridges.
