The entire fleet of municipal equipment in the capital is ready to operate during the autumn-winter period. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement. Pyotr Biryukov.
“Specialists of the urban utilities complex have completed the preparations of municipal equipment for the season change; the entire fleet is fully ready for work in the autumn-winter period. For cleaning the city, we deploy the necessary amount of road-cleaning machinery and small mechanization equipment,” noted Petr Biryukov.
Scheduled maintenance of the machines has been completed: fluids, filters, as well as consumable and wear materials have been replaced. In addition, specialists corrected malfunctions and carried out major repairs where necessary.
Most communal vehicles in the capital are used year-round; before the onset of cold weather, they will be switched to winter operation mode. Equipment used only in winter will be brought out of mothballs. This includes linear snow loaders, motor graders, rotary snow plows, and mobile snow melting units. Winter attachments will be installed on watering and washing machines, vacuum street sweepers, and sidewalk cleaning equipment with the change of season.
Before the first frosts, communal machines are additionally equipped with distributors of anti-icing materials.
