Residential Buildings and Social Facilities in Moscow Prepared for the Heating Season

All residential buildings and significant social facilities in the capital were prepared for the heating season within the established deadlines. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement. Petr Biryukov.

Preparation for the autumn-winter period began at the end of April, immediately after the completion of the previous heating season. For almost four months, specialists from PJSC “MOEK” inspected the heating networks using hydraulic and temperature tests. In total, 19.5 thousand kilometers of networks were examined. This allowed for the identification of potentially unreliable sections and the prompt carrying out of necessary repairs.

In addition, specialists prepared 13 combined heat and power plants, 38 district and 42 block heating stations, as well as 97 small boiler houses. Systems and equipment were checked before the start of the new heating season.

Specialists carried out scheduled maintenance of electrical networks with a total length of over 130 thousand kilometers, gas networks — about 3.5 thousand, water supply — more than 13.2 thousand, sewerage — 9.8 thousand kilometers.

To promptly address potential emergencies, the necessary number of emergency teams have been formed. They have been equipped with machinery and materials.
