At the solemn ceremony at VDNH, the winners and laureates of the “Exporter of the Year. Made in Russia” award were announced. More than 1,300 applications were received from 76 regions of the country. The first place in the category “Cinema, Animation” was taken by the Moscow company “Central Partnership Sales House.” This was reported by Natalya Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of Moscow.
“Moscow comprehensively supports exporters. They have access to many tools for promotion on the global market: from grants and participation in international exhibitions to consultations and training programs. Great attention is paid to promising industries, such as the creative industries. Today, the capital accounts for 70 percent of the total Russian exports in this sector,” noted Natalia Sergunina.
Last year, the volume of products delivered abroad by the city’s creative companies grew by 17 percent.
The award recognized representatives from other sectors of the economy as well: information technology, tourism, and fashion. Thus, in the category “Exporter of the Year. Industry,” among large businesses, the prize winner was the capital-based company Poliplast, which produces science-intensive chemical materials for the construction and industrial sectors.
Export potential
As reported by Natalia Sergunina, in the first half of 2026, the volume of Moscow’s non-commodity non-energy exports (NCNE) increased by 10.6 percent compared to the same period in 2025. The capital’s share in Russia’s NCNE amounted to 21.5 percent. Today, products from Moscow manufacturers are in demand in Belarus, Kazakhstan, India, China, and Turkey. In total, there are about 150 countries on the list of importers.
Entrepreneurs are helped in promoting abroad by Moscow Export Center (EEC). It offers over 30 different programs, including business missions and placement on foreign marketplaces. There is also demand for a specialized grant that allows organizations to receive 10 percent of the amount of an international trade contract. New exporters and those demonstrating turnover growth of more than 20 percent receive up to 20 percent.
In addition, Moscow annually organizes dozens of business trips. In them, specialists present goods and services to potential foreign partners. The event calendar is formed taking into account the wishes of entrepreneurs. Vote for events of 2027 can be done right now on the program’s website Made in Moscow. With the support of MEC, the stand of this program operated at 136 exhibitions. 2,500 companies showcased their products there. As a result, 726 contracts were signed for a total amount of nearly 16 billion rubles.
Movies, video games, fashion
The city also has support programs for representatives of the creative industries. Among them are the “Publishing Seasons” project, the “Design Workshop” competition, and the “Video Game Factory” accelerator. The infrastructure is actively developing — the media technology cluster, the Moscow video games and animation cluster have already opened. They have become part of the creative cluster — a large-scale hub unparalleled in the world.

The capital pays great attention to the film industry. The structure of the Moscow film cluster includes the Gorky Film Studio, film park, film commission, film platform, the “Moskino” film factory, and the homonymous network of cinemas.
At the MosKino film park, 74 outdoor and interior sets have been built, as well as eight modern pavilions. Among the most popular locations are “Moscow during the Constructivism era,” “The Princely Chambers,” “Central Moscow,” and “Port City.”
The film park is popular not only among the largest domestic media groups but also among foreign industry representatives. Since the beginning of the year, seven international delegations have visited and filmed scenes for joint films with colleagues from China, India, and Kyrgyzstan.
