Moscow State Museum of S.A. Yesenin, under the jurisdiction of the capital To the Department of Culture, presents a major program dedicated to the birthday of the famous poet. Works such as “Letter to Mother,” “I do not regret, I do not call, I do not cry,” “The golden grove has spoken,” and “My fallen maple” will be performed.
The festival day will conclude with a musical-poetic performance “The Life of Yesenin”. Guests will see a stage composition dedicated to the life path of Sergey Yesenin. Poems, prose, music, and multimedia elements will merge into a story built on the poet’s texts and documentary evidence of the era. It begins at 18:00.
Memories from life and the music of the heart
A packed program awaits visitors to the “Yesenin Center” on Sunday, October 4th as well. At 1:00 PM, everyone interested is invited to a lecture “Dear Yesenin”. A research associate of the S.A. Yesenin Museum will talk about important episodes in the poet’s biography, the people and places that influenced his work, as well as how the themes, images, and intonations of his poems changed. Special attention will be paid to documents and museum materials.
At 18:00 will take place solo concert.
The main theme will include not only works based on the poet’s verses, but also songs that he himself loved and sang, as well as those he asked his friends to perform.
