An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

Units of mutual funds intended exclusively for qualified investors must not be offered to non-qualified investors. This is stated in in the information letter of the Bank of Russia.

Information about such a fund and its shares, if intended to attract or maintain interest in them, should not be distributed among “non-qualified” investors. This includes, for example, the fund’s name, its profitability, the procedure for buying or selling shares, or the benefits of such a purchase.

The restrictions apply to all methods, forms, and channels of information dissemination, including calls, websites, links, and QR codes.

The same approach is recommended to be applied when offering other securities and derivative financial instruments intended for qualified investors. This will reduce the risk that investors become interested in financial instruments that do not match their experience and level of knowledge.
