The service company “SETrans” (part of the “KAMAZ” structure) has put into operation a new technical maintenance station for electric buses “Presnya”.
This is already the twenty-first station of the company opened in the Moscow region. The new site is designed for a projected capacity of 100 units of passenger innovative transport. Today, the Presnya Service Station services the newest generation KAMAZ-52222 electric buses A5, delivered to Moscow in 2026. All these models are equipped with an advanced charging system. For example, the standard current-charging device on the roof of the electric bus has been replaced with current-collecting contact rails, which reduces the costs of equipping all vehicles with current collectors. Now, stationary charging masts of ultra-fast charging stations (UFCS) are equipped with pantographs. During charging, the inverted-type pantograph lowers onto the contact rails on the roof of the vehicle at the driver’s command.
“Presnya” has become the third Moscow service station equipped with ultra-fast charging stations with inverted-type pantographs. The KAMAZ-52222 electric buses serviced here are already running on routes in the central districts of the capital,” said Vasily Bakulin, head of the “Presnya” service station.
