The State Veterinary Service of the city of Moscow annually organizes no fewer than 54 educational programs and issues more than 1,100 certificates of advanced training. The sessions are held both in-person and remotely and are available to specialists of state veterinary services, veterinarians of non-state veterinary clinics, and organizations across the country. The center conducts advanced training courses, seminars, trainings, webinars, lectures, practical sessions, round tables, discussion clubs, and scientific-practical conferences.

“The rapidly changing and evolving world of modern veterinary medicine requires specialists to continuously improve their qualifications, understand the pharmaceutical market, learn new advanced treatment methods, and acquire skills in working with veterinary equipment, as well as digital and legal literacy. In this regard, our training center’s program covers a wide range of areas. At the beginning of 2026, the center’s renovation and reequipping were completed, opening up new opportunities and interesting directions for veterinarians this academic year,” said the Chairman of the Veterinary Committee of the city of Moscow.

Alexey Sautkin.

Everything for comfortable and effective learning

In the renovated training center, three new classrooms equipped for practical work have been set up, and the spacious offices can accommodate even more students.

Thus, the diagnostic training classroom is designed for conducting round tables and master classes on instrumental examination of animals. Working in small groups allows veterinarians to practice and consolidate practical skills. The room is equipped with a modern device and a table for ultrasound diagnostics, as well as veterinary simulators for performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation, tracheal intubation, administering injections, and blood sampling.

In the “Laboratory” class, specialists develop practical skills in laboratory diagnostics, various studies, including veterinary and sanitary expertise.

The practical surgery classroom will help veterinarians practice skills for performing operations and procedures of various types—including dental, ophthalmological, trauma, orthopedic, maxillofacial and plastic surgery, among others—in modern and comfortable conditions.

In the demonstration area, the instructor uses a surgical table with pedal control, and six student desks are set up for the learners. The room is equipped with a professional sink and lighting fixtures.

Training of veterinary surgeons takes place on highly realistic simulators — silicone phantoms or frozen biological tissues of farm animals. To practice suturing skills, interchangeable modules made of multi-component silicone of varying densities are used, which accurately reproduce the resistance of real tissues during the surgeon’s work.

Advanced training for veterinary specialists and student internships

The Training Center of the State Veterinary Service of Moscow, based at the State Budgetary Institution “Moscow Veterinary Association,” was established in 2012 to organize continuous professional development for veterinary specialists and to deepen their professional competencies. Over 14 years, more than 20,000 veterinarians and students of specialized universities have been trained here. Classes are conducted by leading national experts in the field of veterinary medicine, doctors and candidates of veterinary sciences, as well as outstanding specialists in narrow fields. The training center is located at: 10a Stary Gai Street.

At the training center, not only veterinary doctors specializing in treatment improve their skills, but also specialists carrying out therapeutic, preventive, and anti-epizootic measures for farm and domestic animals, as well as veterinary sanitary experts. Furthermore, the center organizes industrial, educational, and pre-graduation internships for students of specialized universities in the fields of “veterinary medicine” and “veterinary sanitary expertise.”
