Department of Economic Policy and Development of the City of Moscow together with capital suppliers and integrators of robotic systems, developed a new support mechanism for companies participating in the federal project “Labor productivity“. The tool will allow enterprises to automate production without large initial investments. Specialists from ANO “Mosstrategiya” will provide solution selection and expert support, while equipment manufacturers will offer them the most favorable rental or leasing terms. During the pilot phase, the new measure will cover 50 companies. This was reported by Maria Bagreeva, Deputy Mayor of Moscow, head of the city’s Department of Economic Policy and Development.
“Robotic automation based on established processes provides the enterprise with an additional productivity increase of 20–40 percent. However, the high cost of equipment remains the main barrier: companies are not ready to invest in technology whose returns have not been tested on their own capacities. Renting and leasing reduce the initial costs of automation by 70 percent and allow assessing the actual effect before making a purchase decision. The city’s contribution to this mechanism lies in expert support: selecting a technological solution for a specific process, calculating the economic effect, searching for reliable suppliers and integrators, as well as assisting in project implementation at all stages, which minimizes any risks for the business,” noted Maria Bagreeva.
The new mechanism provides companies with access to renting and leasing service and collaborative robots to replace manual labor for a period of at least 36 months, as a term of three years is economically viable for leasing robotic systems. Thanks to the manufacturer’s conditions—a minimal initial payment and phased payments—companies will be able to modernize processes without peak financial strain. It is possible to offer your solutions to Moscow businesses and include products in the list of available rental options on the ANO “Mosstrategiya” website.
Moscow companies that are participating or have participated in the federal project “Labor Productivity” can take advantage of the new support measure. To do this, it is enough to fill out the form on the ANO “Mosstrategia” website. After that, the organization’s experts will conduct a free diagnosis at the enterprise, select the optimal robotic solution for specific tasks, calculate the economic effect and payback period of the future integration, and provide applicants with contact information for the relevant suppliers.
Robotics is expected to show the greatest efficiency in areas with a high proportion of monotonous manual labor and cyclical operations, including warehouse logistics (for example, palletizing, sorting, packaging and packing of products, cargo handling), as well as in industry and construction. The first participants in the pilot project will be metropolitan enterprises in manufacturing, the construction sector, and the transportation and storage industries. In the future, this support measure is planned to be scaled to all organizations in the city of Moscow.
From 2025, Moscow companies will increase labor productivity as part of the national project “An effective and competitive economy” (federal project “Labor Productivity”). Earlier, Sergey Sobyanin reported that participants in the project included 535 metropolitan enterprises. Its implementation in Moscow is funded by the city budget, which gives companies the opportunity to deeply analyze and optimize their processes without significant financial burden. Applications for participation can be submitted on the ANO website “Mosstrategiya” — the operator of the federal project “Labor Productivity” in the capital.
