On September 9, a series of meetings began at the State University of Management with representatives of the 39th Separate Brigade of Unmanned Systems and students.
The event was opened by Sergey Lenshin, Director of the Institute of Distance Education at GUU, who called on the students to be patriots.
“It is customary that a man is a protector and a patriot. Moreover, patriotism is manifested not only on the front lines but also in the professional fulfillment of one’s work, in a responsible life, and in supporting the interests of one’s country. However, in the face of an external threat, it is especially important to unite and repel the enemy by all available means, defending one’s native land,” Sergey Lenshin concluded.
The history of the creation and development of the Unmanned Systems Troops was described by the brigade’s deputy commander for military-political work, Senior Lieutenant Valeria Bogodelshchikova.
“Drones are used today in many civilian sectors; surely you have already encountered them. They assist in agriculture by treating fields, in geology by researching and monitoring deposits, in transport and other industries. And in 2025, specialized Unmanned Systems Troops were established in our country. We will tell and show how servicemen of this branch are trained, what equipment they have to work with, and what privileges the service provides,” said Valeria Bogodelshchikova.
Military psychologist Senior Lieutenant Vladimir Zubakov spoke about his work, Signalman Private Dmitry Mikhaylevsky shared his experience serving in the troops, and Sergeant Kirill Pakhomov, an instructor at the military contract enlistment point, discussed the features and advantages of service under a special contract.
After the ceremonial opening, students had the opportunity to try their hand at drone piloting on a simulator and to receive guidance on enrolling for service.
To demonstrate the capabilities of unmanned technology, one of the modern models was launched in the foyer and shown how maneuverable it is.
Simultaneously, sessions were held for girls at the Business Center on fire safety, first aid, actions in emergency situations, and making camouflage nets and trench candles.
The Director of the Training and Emergency Response Center and Initial Military Training of the State University of Management, head of the Moscow city branch of the All-Russian Volunteer Soldier Corps, and Moscow City Duma deputy Maxim Dzhetygenov drew the students’ attention to the fact that all items produced will be sent with humanitarian aid to the front line as part of the “GUU-SVOim” campaign.
“The management, teachers, staff, and students of GUU constantly assist the defenders of our country and the residents of the new regions by personally making household items and collecting humanitarian aid, which the members of the MGO VSKS deliver to our fighters,” noted the head of MGO VSKS.
Recall that informational meetings will be held at the State University of Management until September 18. Additionally, you can learn about the special conditions available to our students when enlisting for military service under contract in the Unmanned Systems Troops at the Unmanned Systems Troops Information Center and Special Military Operation Support; appointment for consultation is available via the link.
