Jiayuguan, September 10 /Xinhua/ — On Thursday, with the help of the “Long March-4B” carrier rocket, China successfully launched two new groups of remote sensing satellites into their planned orbits.
The carrier rocket carrying satellites of the “Yaogan-53” and “Yaogan-56” groups launched from the Jiuquan Cosmodrome in northwest China at 17:00 Beijing time.
The satellites are mainly intended for conducting scientific experiments, surveying national land resources, assessing the yield of agricultural crops, as well as for disaster prevention and mitigation of their consequences.
