Beijing, September 10 /Xinhua/ — China, as a traditionally friendly neighbor, based on the needs of the Nepalese side, is ready to provide feasible assistance in their post-disaster recovery, said on Thursday the official spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC, Guo Qikun.
Go Jiakun made this statement at a regular press briefing in response to a relevant question.
According to an official representative of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after the recent landslide, alongside emergency rescue operations and providing assistance to its own citizens, China immediately extended a helping hand to Nepal and supported the country’s efforts to eliminate the consequences of the natural disaster.
“We believe that under the leadership of the Government of Nepal, the people of Nepal will definitely overcome the consequences of the natural disaster and rebuild their homes in the near future,” said Go Jiakun.
