97 LiAZ “Citymax-12” buses have been delivered to the Mosgortrans parks. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry. Maksim Liksutov.

“By the order of Sergey Sobyanin, we continue to update the rolling stock and expand the coverage area of the ‘Moscow — Region’ project. New bus models have already been deployed on nine suburban routes across five districts. The interiors have everything necessary for passenger comfort: low floors, enlarged standing areas, and wide doors for easy boarding and alighting,” noted Maksim Liksutov.

New bus models of the “Moscow — Region” project operate on the routes:

— Krasnogorsk — No. 1541, 1542, 1566;

— Odintsovo Urban District — No. 1139, 1818;

— Dolgoprudny — Nos. 1545, 1572;

— Mytishchi — No. 1302;

— Khimki — No. 1062.

The LiAZ “Citymax-12” models are unique. The low-floor area inside the cabin reaches a record 13.6 square meters, the width of door openings, aisles between seats, and the standing platform has been increased thanks to new body design solutions. The front independent suspension and the use of modern materials in the body construction provide a smoother and quieter ride. Vertical handrails are fixed to the side of the body, making movement inside the cabin even freer. Green and red lighting on the doors warns of their opening and closing. Thanks to the larger glazed area, the cabin has become brighter and the visibility better.

Project “Moscow — Region”

The “Moscow — Region” project was launched in 2025. In the nearest cities of the Moscow region, 25 routes have been opened, which operate in the northwestern and western directions. This became possible thanks to the agreement between the governments of Moscow and the Moscow region. By the end of the current year, it is planned to add more than 50 more routes.

The buses fully comply with Moscow transport standards, including being equipped for carrying bicycles, baby strollers, and passengers in wheelchairs. In addition, convenient intervals and schedules have been developed.

Travel payment is possible with the “Troika” card, which can be topped up at ticket offices and vending machines of the Moscow Metro, as well as online through the mobile application “Moscow Metro” or “Moscow Transport.” Remote top-up must be activated on any validator inside the bus.

The launch of new connecting routes will serve as a stimulus for the development of transport infrastructure in the Moscow region, including the placement of modern stops, the arrangement of dedicated lanes, the creation of new and reconstruction of existing transport hubs, and the integration of different types of urban transport for daily trips from the Moscow suburbs to Moscow and back.

In accordance with the objectives of the national project “Infrastructure for Life” In Moscow, great attention is paid to the modernization of social and communal infrastructure, including increasing the number of convenient urban transport routes and updating the rolling stock.
