The winners of the annual city professional skills competition “Moscow Masters” have been awarded. This was announced on his channel in in the messenger “Max” Sergey Sobyanin reported.
“This year, 126 specialists from various fields became winners and prize-winners. Among them are industry, construction, housing and communal services, transport, social and cultural sectors, health and safety. In 2026, passenger car conductors and midwives participated in the competition for the first time,” wrote the Mayor of Moscow in his channel on the messenger ‘Max’.

The competitions are held in several stages depending on the profession. Traditionally, they begin in organizations where the best employee is determined, who then represents the company in district or industry contests. Winners of the final stage become the best in their profession in the city and are awarded the honorary title “Moscow Master.”
Winners and prize-winners of the contest are awarded diplomas and also receive grants from the Moscow Government. The first-place winner is awarded 300,000 rubles, the second place — 200,000 rubles, and the third place — 150,000 rubles.
The “Moscow Masters” competition was held for the 29th time. For the first time this year, professions such as passenger carriage conductor and midwife were presented. Representatives of 40 professions from 1.8 thousand organizations in the capital participated in the contest. There were 126 winners and prize-winners: 42 masters took first place, 84 took second and third places. For 38 professions, one winner was determined through individual competitions, while for two other professions — green industry worker and building information modeling specialist — a team work method was provided (two winners in each nomination).
The average age of the finalists was 35 years. The youngest laureate was 19-year-old radio equipment assembler Fyodor Novikov. The most experienced among the winners and prize-winners is 65-year-old Shamil Saipudinov, who has 38 years of experience as a universal lathe operator. Many finalists belong to working dynasties. In particular, the victory in the “Master of Production Training” nomination was won by Anna Starkova, a representative of a teaching dynasty that began in 1945. The family’s total teaching experience exceeds 115 years.
The “Moscow Masters” competition has been held since 1998 by the Moscow Government, the Moscow Federation of Trade Unions, and the Moscow Confederation of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (employers). Over the past years, more than 1.3 million specialists have participated in the city contests. The winners have repeatedly become laureates of the all-Russian competition “Best in Profession”.
The main goal of the competition is to enhance the prestige of highly skilled labor, develop the personnel potential of enterprises and organizations, popularize professions needed in the city, as well as attract young people to the real sector of the economy and social institutions.
