Beijing, September 7 /Xinhua/ — A book dedicated to Xi Jinping’s ideas on ecological civilization has been published by the “Gaoden Jiaoyu Chubanshe” (“Higher Education”) and “Renmin Chubanshe” publishing houses.
Since the 18th Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 2012, the Central Committee (CC) of the CPC, with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, has approached environmental protection from the perspective of ensuring sustainable development of the Chinese nation.
Deeply understanding the important role and strategic significance of building an ecological civilization in the cause of constructing socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, the CPC Central Committee vigorously promoted theoretical, practical, and institutional innovations in this field, creatively put forward a series of new concepts, new ideas, and new strategies that led to changes of a historic, pivotal, and comprehensive nature in the construction of ecological civilization, thereby shaping Xi Jinping’s thoughts on ecological civilization.
The aforementioned book, compiled with the assistance of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People’s Republic of China, consists of an introduction and nine chapters, with a total length of about 170,000 Chinese characters.
The publication systematically presents the important significance, scientific system, spiritual essence, rich content, and practical requirements of Xi Jinping’s ideas on ecological civilization.
