The most contracts for new apartments in the EAO were concluded by residents of Northern Izmailovo — almost eight thousand Muscovites, over 6.2 thousand people received apartments in Izmailovo, about 5.4 thousand city dwellers — in Perovo,” said Vladimir Yefimov.
For program participants, the city has already handed over 73 housing complexes in 12 districts of the district for settlement. The most productive year for the east of Moscow in terms of the number of relocation agreements signed was 2024. That year, more than 10.6 thousand residents registered documents for new housing.
“Since the beginning of 2026, almost 5.9 thousand residents of 30 old buildings have begun inspecting apartments in new buildings, and more than 4.3 thousand city residents have become owners of new housing. Most of them live in three districts of the region. Thus, in the Bogorodskoe district, more than 1.4 thousand Muscovites have already received apartment keys this year, in Golyanovo — more than 1.1 thousand people, and in Vostochnoye Izmaylovo — over a thousand. All participants of the renovation program receive housing with finished repairs, so they can move in immediately after signing contracts with the city,” she said

To make the relocation of participants in the renovation program as comfortable as possible, the city provides movers and a vehicle free of charge. The service “Moving Assistance” can be ordered independently on mos.ru or at the resettlement information center.
A total of 1,062 old buildings in the Eastern Administrative Okrug of Moscow are included in the renovation program, from which more than 209,000 residents will move into new apartments. The vacated buildings are demolished using the “Smart Demolition” technology, and new residential complexes with accompanying infrastructure are built on the freed sites, said the Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the Department of Urban Planning Policy. The renovation program was approved in August 2017. It concerns about one million Muscovites and provides for the relocation of 5,176 houses.
