Beijing, September 6 /Xinhua/ — The Chinese Air Force (PLAAF) will deploy several types of military aircraft to participate in the El Alamein International Airshow 2026 in Egypt, which will be held from September 8 to 10. This was announced on Sunday by the People’s Liberation Army of China (PLA).

The Chinese Air Force will send fighters, early warning aircraft, tanker planes, and helicopters to the airshow to be held at El Alamein International Airport, according to a PLA statement.

This event will be the second international aerospace exhibition in the city of El Alamein after the first one held in 2024. At that time, Chinese military aircraft also participated in the first airshow, during which several J-10 fighters and the heavy transport aircraft Y-20 of Chinese design performed demonstration flights.

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Egypt, which is accompanied by a series of exchange events between the two countries. Last month, the air forces of both countries began a series of joint exercises under the code name “Eagles of Civilization-2026” on Egyptian territory. -0-
