Vladimir Putin congratulated Muscovites on City Day. The solemn event on the occasion of the 879th anniversary of the founding of Moscow took place in the Zaryadye concert hall.
“ By tradition, at the beginning of September we celebrate Moscow Day. I congratulate the Muscovites and all citizens of our great country on this holiday. Happy holiday! For each of us, Moscow is a symbol of Russian statehood, our unity and solidarity, resilience, and great achievements,” said the President of Russia.

Vladimir Putin also noted the significant role of the capital’s science and industry in ensuring the country’s technological sovereignty.
“Thus, this year unique productions of components for domestic communication systems and electronic devices have been opened in the city. The production of many new types of medicines and medical products has been mastered,” emphasized the President of Russia.
Thanks to the joint efforts of Russian Railways, Moscow, and the Moscow region, developments are underway Moscow Central Diameters. Thanks to this labor productivity the number of radiologists has increased by almost 70 percent, which allows for faster and more accurate preventive diagnosis of diseases.
Vladimir Putin also highly appreciated the capital’s experience in preserving cultural heritage sites. In 15 years, over 2,500 historic buildings, estates, and other architectural monuments have been restored in Moscow.
“Preserving history and being open to everything new, caring for every Muscovite and being ready to come to the aid of residents of other regions make Moscow strong and at the same time humane, hospitable, the soul and driving force of the development of all Russia,” noted Vladimir Putin.
The capital is successfully developing thanks to the efforts of the Mayor of Moscow and his team, as well as all Muscovites.
