This year, the Ostankino Bagel Products Factory (OZBI) increased its product range by 10 percent and the monthly output volume by 200 tons. This was achieved thanks to automation and the expansion of production capacities. This was reported by Anatoly Garbuzov, Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.
OZBI is the only manufacturer in Russia specializing exclusively in drying and bagel products.
Earlier, the company acquired new equipment for snack production with the assistance of the Moscow Fund for Industry and Entrepreneurship Support (MFPPiP) under the program for compensating interest on an investment loan.
“The implementation of the investment project has significantly increased the efficiency of OSBI production. Thanks to automation and the installation of high-tech lines, the enterprise has increased its monthly product output by almost 200 tons, and the product range has expanded by 10 percent. The support from the Moscow fund accelerated modernization and created conditions for further growth,” noted Anatoly Garbuzov.
The company supplies goods to the Bryansk, Tver, Kaluga, Ryazan, Tula, Penza, Kaliningrad, Astrakhan, Voronezh, and Volgograd regions, as well as to the Krasnodar, Altai, Khabarovsk, and Primorsky territories, the Republic of Mordovia, and other regions. In addition, the products are represented in the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkey, the People’s Republic of China, and the United Arab Emirates.
“The sales geography of OZBI company is continuously expanding: this year, the products are already present even in regions such as Yakutia and Sakhalin, and the new snack assortment is on the shelves of many federal retail chains. Our company has its own modern laboratory where new products are developed,” emphasized the company’s CEO Dmitry Sterligov.
Earlier, Sergey Sobyanin spoke about the fact that city support provides metropolitan enterprises with opportunities to expand the geography of sales and increase supplies to Russian regions.
Investment Credit Program MFPPiP provides compensation equal to 50 percent of the key rate of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. The maximum support period is five years, and the amount subject to compensation is five billion rubles.
