The admissions campaign for 2026 has ended at the Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. This year, 5416 applicants were enrolled at SPbGASU in bachelor’s, specialist, master’s, and postgraduate programs.

The admission campaign officially ended on August 30 – on that day, an order was issued for enrollment in places under contracts for training programs for scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel in postgraduate studies.

More than 4,300 students were admitted to bachelor’s and specialist degree programs

4,309 people were enrolled in bachelor’s and specialist degree programs in 2026.

3,164 people were admitted to full-time studies, of whom 1,173 were on budget-funded places and 1,991 on paid tuition. Another 821 people were enrolled in part-time studies, and 324 in correspondence studies. All places in the part-time and correspondence study categories were paid.

A total of 989 people have been admitted to the master’s program. Of these, 722 will study full-time: 539 were admitted to budget-funded places, 180 to paid places. Another 217 people were admitted to the part-time form of study on a contractual basis.

This year, 118 people were admitted to the graduate program. All of them will study full-time: 37 were enrolled on budget-funded places, 81 on paid ones.

Thus, a total of 1,749 students were enrolled in state-funded places at SPbGASU in 2026, and another 3,667 applicants will study on a contract basis.

47.7 percent more applications

One of the features of the current admissions campaign is a significant increase in the number of applications. During the admission period, the admissions committee specialists processed 80,767 applications, which is 47.7 percent more than the previous year.

At the same time, each application during the campaign was processed manually by the admissions committee specialists.

“The increase in the number of applications indicates a growing interest among prospective students in the university’s educational programs,” note the admissions office.

Passing scores increased by an average of 20 points

Another noticeable trend of the campaign was the increase in competitive indicators.

As a result of the admissions, the passing scores on average increased by 20 points compared to last year. In some educational programs, the increase was even more significant.

For example, in the specialty 23.05.01. Ground transport and technological equipment, the passing score increased immediately by 45 points.

The maximum passing score for budget places in the general competition – 300 points – was recorded in the specialty 08.05.01. Construction of unique buildings and structures, specialization “Construction of high-rise and long-span buildings and structures.”

The average score of those admitted through the general competition for budget-funded places in bachelor’s and specialist programs was 82.41 points.

New admission rules

This year, applicants faced a number of changes in the admission campaign rules.

One of them concerned graduates of secondary vocational education organizations. In 2026, they could take entrance exams at the university only if their obtained specialty corresponded to the profile of higher education. The correspondence was determined by the Admission Rules at SPbGASU.

Changes also affected the paid enrollment. In 2026, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation introduced additional regulations for admission to contractual (paid) places. In particular, this impacted the areas of study offered by the Faculty of Economics and Management, as well as the Faculty of Forensic Expertise and Law in Construction and Transport – the number of paid education places for these programs was reduced.

In addition, for the first time in the admission rules, there appeared the so-called “Day of Silence” – the day when enrollment orders are issued, during which an applicant could not withdraw their consent for enrollment in the university.

The trends of the 2026 admissions campaign demonstrate high interest among applicants in the study programs at SPbGASU, as all conditions are created here to become specialists in demand on the labor market. We wish the newly admitted students success in mastering their chosen professions!
