In two stocks “Night at the Clinic”, which took place on August 22 and 29, were attended by more than 20 thousand people. Among them, young people predominated. The innovative format allowed combining preventive diagnostics with evening leisure activities: music, sports, creativity, and other pursuits. This was reported by Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development.

“We are developing the philosophy of healthy longevity and want it to become a habit for Muscovites to monitor their health even before complaints and symptoms of diseases appear. For this, it is important to offer a person a simple and understandable first step. Since last summer, this has been the ‘Moscow Checkup’ — a comprehensive health care program, 90 percent of which can be completed online. In addition, we are creating opportunities to take care of oneself right during a walk around the city in healthy longevity pavilions. The ‘Night at the Clinic’ has become another experimental format to acquaint people with the possibilities of Moscow medicine. In two evenings, the project attracted more than 20,000 visitors, and almost all of them were under 40 years old. Moreover, the second evening of the event was attended by nearly three times as many people as the first. They all came not to treat an illness, but to check their health, talk with doctors, and understand what needs attention. City residents combined examinations with attending a concert and a workout; many came with friends and relatives. At the same time, the city pavilions launched as part of the ‘Moscow Checkup’ continue their work,” said Anastasia Rakova.

The event “Night at the Clinic” took place from 8:00 PM to midnight in 10 clinics across the capital. The second event, held on August 29, attracted especially many participants: at some venues, city residents gathered even before the official opening.

As part of the event, guests were offered diagnostics: to assess body composition using bioimpedance analysis, check basic health indicators, have blood tests, and receive consultations on nutrition and physical activity. Simultaneously, in the lobbies and courtyards of the clinics, a cultural program was held: performances by artists, lectures, film screenings, master classes, workouts, and breathing exercises.

Medical teams for the “Night at the Polyclinic” were formed on a voluntary basis. Several hundred doctors from various institutions in the capital participated in the project. Work during nighttime and weekends was paid at a higher rate. For the specialists, the event became an opportunity to discuss prevention issues with patients in an informal setting.

The project’s information partners included the TV channel “Moscow 24,” the news agency TASS, the television and radio company “Zvezda,” the media holding “Evening Moscow,” the city news agency “Moscow,” the “Today in Moscow” program on the NTV channel, as well as the Telegram channel “Moscow Now” and the magazine “Nozh.”

“Summer in Moscow” — the main event of the season, which has already become a good tradition and an integral part of the capital’s life. The main theme this year is “Time to be together.” The project unites people of different generations around common values, allowing them to grow closer not only to their relatives but also to the whole city through walks, cultural and sports events, charity activities, as well as right nearby at home in all districts of the capital.
