Today, on the first of September, the leaders and specialists of PJSC KAMAZ attended ceremonial assemblies at schools and basic educational institutions in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny.
Top managers and employees of KAMAZ divisions traditionally congratulated students and teachers on Knowledge Day and the beginning of the new academic year by attending ceremonial assemblies at patronized schools and other educational institutions in Naberezhnye Chelny.
Students of NChI KFU were welcomed by the first deputy general director of PJSC KAMAZ – executive director Irek Gumerov, deputy general director for personnel management, organizational development and corporate governance of PJSC KAMAZ Zhanna Khaliullina, and chief designer of PJSC KAMAZ Evgeny Makarov. It was noted that this academic year begins marked by two anniversaries. In 2026, the people of Chelny will celebrate the 400th anniversary of the city and the 50th anniversary of the release of the first KAMAZ vehicle. Special attention on this day was given to first graders – this year, more than six thousand little residents of Chelny sat at their desks for the first time, including children of Kamaz employees. Let us recall that ahead of Knowledge Day, within the framework of the annual “Help to Get Ready for School” campaign, KAMAZ provided financial assistance of 10,000 rubles to employees whose children are entering first grade. The company’s trade union organization also supported union members with first graders in their families – they received 3,000 rubles each. Additionally, children were traditionally given gifts. By September 1st, all first graders of Naberezhnye Chelny received from KAMAZ a career guidance album-guidebook “The World of Automotive Engineering with Tosya and Senya,” which contains information about the auto giant’s factories, crosswords, and many interesting features. The company annually gives gifts to first grade students in honor of Knowledge Day.
Today, KAMAZ has a total of 83 affiliated schools – the company conducts ongoing career guidance work. For example, in twelve schools in Naberezhnye Chelny, there are 21 engineering classes with over 350 students. The project is implemented jointly with the Naberezhnye Chelny Institute of KFU, where institute teachers conduct lessons in the engineering classes, and students visit the automotive giant’s factories on introductory tours. Throughout the academic year, schoolchildren receive basic engineering knowledge, which subsequently helps them achieve better results in mastering natural science subjects. Additional activities are also held for such classes: technical modeling competitions, master classes, and guest lectures.
Also among the key projects aimed at working with schoolchildren are the additional education programs of the Children’s Technopark “Quantorium”, co-founded by KAMAZ. They operate in 21 schools in the city and cover more than 1900 people. Children study areas such as “3D modeling,” “Automodeling,” “Virtual and augmented reality,” “Geoinformatics,” “Laser technologies,” “Programming languages,” “Neurotechnologies,” and so on.
In addition, supplementary education programs from the Technological City Multifunctional Center are being implemented in 14 schools in Naberezhnye Chelny, attended by more than 300 students. Among the offered directions are “Three-dimensional modeling and printing of auto components,” “Digital design for auto components,” “Industrial robotics in the automotive industry,” “Technology,” “Creation and animation of three-dimensional models,” and others.
Strengthening Russia’s technological sovereignty is impossible without training qualified specialists. KAMAZ actively participates in the creation and development of educational infrastructure with a focus on engineering education. Great attention is given to career guidance, improving the effectiveness of education in schools, colleges, and universities of Naberezhnye Chelny in accordance with competencies demanded in real production.
