In Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo, a general education institution building designed for 850 students has been constructed. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction. Vladimir Efimov.
“In the northwest of the capital, in the Pokrovskoe-Streshnevo district, a school was built at the address: 8 Nikolay Ozerov Street, building 2. The facility appeared on the territory of the former Tushino airfield, where active residential construction and social infrastructure development are underway as part of the comprehensive development of the area. The three-story building, with a total area of 22.5 thousand square meters, is divided into functional blocks for junior and senior classes,” said Vladimir Yefimov.
For elementary school students, universal classrooms and a laboratory-research complex have been equipped where they will study natural science. For high school students, specialized classrooms for computer science, natural sciences, astronomy, and astrophysics are provided. In addition, an IT testing ground has been equipped with zones for device development and testing, modeling and programming, as well as a robotics classroom, laboratory-research complexes, and a lecture hall.
The building has two sports halls, a medical unit, a full-cycle technological food block, a multifunctional multi-light space, and an event hall. For the creative development of children, there is a music and singing room, a chess club, and a watercolor painting and drawing workshop. The media library will provide access to modern educational resources.
“The architectural design of the building is distinguished by thoughtfulness and aesthetics. The main volume is a rectangular shape with a semi-enclosed inner courtyard and an arched glass passageway between the primary and secondary school blocks. The facades are clad with concrete tiles resembling brick in calm natural tones, and the entrance groups are highlighted with ceramic tiles. The spaces are designed with barrier-free accessibility in mind. On the adjacent territory of 1.9 hectares, a full-fledged sports core has been created with a circular running track, a mini-football field, volleyball and basketball courts, gymnastics areas, a section for performing GTO standards, a jumping sector, and a zone for table tennis,” added the Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the Department of Urban Development Policy of the capital.
Construction began in June 2023 under the supervision of the Moscow City State Construction Supervision Committee. The head of the agency Anton Slobodchikov clarified that the committee inspectors accompanied the construction of the school on a land plot of almost 0.7 hectares from the preparatory stage to acceptance. A total of 11 control and supervisory activities were conducted, including with the participation of specialists from the Center for Expertise, Research, and Testing in Construction for instrumental quality control of the completed work and applied materials. Based on the final inspection results, a conclusion was issued confirming the building’s compliance with the approved project documentation requirements, after which a permit for its commissioning was granted.
Durable and environmentally friendly materials were used for the interior finishing of the premises. The interiors are designed in a neutral light color scheme.
Separate play and recreational areas with shaded canopies have been created on the school grounds for the primary and secondary school, as well as a space for botany classes (educational experimental area). Specialists carried out comprehensive landscaping. They planted trees and shrubs, and arranged lawns and flower beds. The center of the school’s event life will be the venue for all-school events and ceremonial assemblies.
Earlier, Sergey Sobyanin told that a new educational building of school No. 2005 has been built on Sokolovo-Meshcherskaya Street as part of the Targeted Investment Program.
