Applications for the award have started in Moscow “Moscow Benefactor — 2026”. The annual award recognizes the contribution of non-profit organizations (NPOs), socially responsible businesses, and patrons in the development of charity and the implementation of socially significant projects in the capital. The award will be held for the third time. Applications can be submitted until September 13.

It is not just a ceremony, but an important event for the entire community: it helps to spread successful practices, shows city residents concrete examples of assistance, and attracts new participants — among NGOs, businesses, and volunteers,” noted

Funds that have been operating in Moscow for at least a year, as well as commercial and non-commercial legal entities and citizens engaged in volunteering, patronage, or other socially useful activities, can participate in the competition.
The award includes seven categories. These are best partnership with business, best media company, volunteer participation in NGO work, use of digital technologies, contribution of Moscow business to the social sphere, as well as special categories for media ambassadors and producers of charitable events.
Applications will be reviewed by the expert council on grants, charity, and volunteering of the Moscow Public Chamber. Jury members will assess the scale and uniqueness of the projects, their measurable results, and long-term prospects. Following the application review, the council will select winners in each category. Awards will be presented on October 12 at the Tretyakov Gallery.
Award “Philanthropist of Moscow” carried out by the metropolitan Committee for Public Relations and Youth Policy since 2024. In 2025, more than 150 applications were received, and the awards ceremony took place at the “Khodzhestvenny” cinema. Among the past winners are the “Lifeline” foundation with the project “Help and Win” in partnership with JSC “Russian Railways” (nomination “Best Work with Business”), the “People’s Front. Everything for Victory!” foundation with the best volunteer program, as well as the “Life as a Miracle” foundation (“Best NGO Team”).
