The most such objects are in the North-Eastern district — 28, in the Eastern — 26, in the South-Eastern and Western — 20 each, and in the Northern and North-Western — 18 each. Currently, over 170 new residential buildings with a total area of more than 3.9 million square meters are being constructed in 12 Moscow districts for the implementation of the renovation program,” said Vladimir Efimov.
Vacated houses are dismantled using smart demolition technology. It allows buildings to be disassembled in parts in an environmentally friendly and safe way, and construction debris to be sent for recycling.
“Since the beginning of the year, residential buildings in 48 districts of the capital have been vacated. In particular, 16 buildings were vacated in Altufyevsky, nine each in Yuzhnoe Tushino and Zapadnoe Degunino, eight in Novogireevo, and seven buildings each in Bogorodskoye, Koptevo, and Lyublino. Participants in the renovation program generally receive housing in modern new buildings in the same district, so the infrastructure remains familiar to them. Muscovites can obtain information on all matters related to relocation at resettlement information centers on the ground floors of residential complexes,” added the Minister of the Government of Moscow, head of the city’s Department of Urban Development Policy.
Since the city provides apartments with finished renovations, participants in the renovation program can move into them immediately after signing the contracts for the new housing. Ekaterina Solovyova, the Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the city Department of Urban Property, clarified that more than 30,000 Muscovites lived in the houses that have been fully vacated since the beginning of this year. In the northeast, over 5.1 thousand city residents moved into new apartments. In the east, more than 4.7 thousand people became rights holders, and in the southeast, more than 4.4 thousand participants of the resettlement. In the west and northwest of the capital, housing in new buildings was obtained by more than four thousand and over 3.7 thousand Muscovites, respectively.
